- UNIT 2 ~ SAFE INTERACTION WITH OTHER ROAD USERS
This unit is designed to teach you to proactively manage the risks associated with dealing with other road users and therefore substantially reduce potentially dangerous situations. As you experience more time on the road with other road users you will in turn develop your ability to assess situations through scanning methodology. You will know what constitutes a hazard and therefore recognise any potential danger in good time.the practice of recognising the clues to potential hazards and how they might develop will provide time to manage the risk plan and respond to it correctly. The ability to control the vehicle at slow speeds is explored especially in relationship to the impact of human factors on behaviour and the driving task and the importance of planning the journey.

- Impairments and driver overload (discussion)
- Identify impairments, which affect risk management (practical)
- Helping those involved in an incident or crash (online)
- Manoeuvres and journey planning (practical)
To achieve this unit you must be able to:
